The short answer. Most appointment guarantees count bookings. Ours counts showed estimates: you turned up and the homeowner was there. On the paid-in-full plan we guarantee 40 showed install estimates in the 90 days after your ads go live (30 on the monthly plan). If we're short at day 90, we keep running your ads and calling your leads at no extra fee until you have them.
Booked, confirmed or showed: why the word matters
There are three different things a company can promise you, and they are not worth the same.
- Booked: someone put a time on your calendar. They might never answer the door.
- Confirmed: the customer replied to say the time still works. Better, but plans still change.
- Showed: you or your salesman turned up within the window and the homeowner was there for the estimate. This is the only one that puts you in front of a customer.
A guarantee on booked appointments leaves the no-shows with you. A guarantee on showed estimates puts them on us, which is why we spend so much effort on reminders and rebooking.
What counts as a showed install estimate
An install estimate we booked for you, in your service area, for a residential full system replacement, heat pump or mini split install, where you or your team turned up within the booked window and the homeowner or another adult was there for it.
It counts whether or not you close the job. Closing is yours. If you don't turn up, arrive outside the window, or cancel without reasonable notice, it can still count if we have reasonable evidence the customer was available. We check shows from CRM, call, text and calendar records, your feedback and, where needed, the customer.
What the guarantee needs from you
Four things, all in the agreement, so the guarantee measures our work rather than things we can't control:
- Your Facebook ad account stays funded at no less than $100 a day, paid by you directly to Facebook.
- You tell us how each estimate went within 48 hours, for at least 80% of them. It takes about 30 seconds by text.
- You come to the review call we hold every two weeks, or move it.
- You keep our access to your ad account, CRM, calendar and tracking in place.
Any day the ads run below the minimum, or are off for a reason on your side, pauses the 90-day clock instead of counting against you.
What happens if we come up short
At day 90, if you have fewer showed estimates than guaranteed, we keep running your ads and our booking team keeps working your leads at no further program fee until you reach the number. You keep funding your ad spend to Facebook while we do. It is a promise of more work, not a refund. The full terms are on our refunds and guarantee page.
How it compares with pay per lead and pay per appointment
Every model moves the risk somewhere. This is how the common ones usually work. Check each provider's own terms, because they vary.
| What you compare | Pay per lead | Pay per appointment | TradeLink |
|---|---|---|---|
| You pay for | Each lead, answered or not | Each booked appointment | A fixed fee for 90 days, plus your own ad spend |
| Who calls the lead | Usually you | The provider | Our booking team |
| No-shows | Your problem | Depends on the provider | Don't count toward the guarantee. We chase them to rebook |
| The guarantee counts | Usually nothing | Bookings | Showed estimates |
Questions to ask anyone offering a guarantee
- What exactly counts: a lead, a booking, a confirmation, or a homeowner at the door?
- Who decides whether an appointment showed, and how is it checked?
- What happens if they miss: money back, free work, or nothing?
- What do you have to do for the guarantee to apply, and is it written in the agreement?
- Are the leads yours alone, or sold to other companies too?
If the answers aren't in writing, the guarantee isn't worth much. Ours is in the agreement you sign.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a money-back guarantee?
No. If we're short at day 90 we keep working at no further program fee until you have the guaranteed number. Payments aren't refundable.
When does the 90 days start?
The day your ads go live, not the day you pay. Ads usually go live within two weeks of your first payment.
Does the guarantee cover sales?
No. We guarantee showed install estimates. Pricing, closing and the install are yours.
Why is it 30 on the monthly plan?
The guarantee is higher when you pay for the 90 days up front: 40 showed estimates paid in full, 30 on the monthly plan. Both are written into the agreement.
Who pays for the ads?
You do, at least $100 a day, straight from your card to Facebook. We never hold it or mark it up.
